There are about three months left for Mid-Autumn Festival but the mooncake industry is already busy. HEMA held a mooncake tasting event recently where it launched Suzhou-style mooncakes fused with crayfish.
It is crunchy on the outside and juicy and tender inside. Its founder Huang Haifei had been an executive chef at five-star hotels before he joined HEMA. According to Huang, every mooncake has three crayfish inside weighing above 10 grams, ensuring the spicy and juicy taste is found in every bite.
"China crayfish industry development report" was released on June 9. According to the report, 2016 crayfish industry was worth about 56 billion yuan.
As an e-commerce platform dedicated to customers' need for gourmet food, HEMA joined the market by launching the Suzhou-style crayfish mooncakes, crayfish niangao and among others.
