2017 Food Industry Development Forum held in Shanghai

Organized by Shanghai Society of Food Science and Shanghai Food Safety Federation, the 2017 China (Shanghai) Food Industry Development Forum was held yesterday. The two-day forum attracted more than 300 professionals in food industry and food safety area. More than 200 food companies joined the summit. 

With the theme of “Technology leadership, food safety, environmental protection and nutrition,” the forum held many speeches, talks and mini summits on topics like the upgrade of consumption, research and development of nutrition, food safety regulations and standards, food safety monitoring and risk assessment and quality control of agricultural products.

“The promulgation of various policies during 2017 indicates that the food industry will gradually move towards the trend toward greater health and nutrition. In particular, the trend towards healthy foods has been gradually improved in terms of targeted design and precision manufacturing of functional foods,” says Pan Yingjie, the chairman of Shanghai Society of Food Science.

Gu Zhenhua, director of Shanghai Food Safety Federation, made a speech on trend of food science and technology, and food safety.

Besides, the forum also attracts many presenting food companies and brands like Bright Dairy, Tentamus, Kewpie, Want Want Group, Lee Kum Kee, Yakult and Ecolab.
