2017 Shanghai Urban Space and Art Season held in Shanghai
2017 Shanghai Urban Space and Art Season (SUSAS 2017) was held on December 15 in Pudong New Area. Curated by Stefano Boeri, Italian Architecture Master, Lee Xiangning, dean of School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Tongji University, and Fang Zhenning, contemporary independent artist and international critic, together with the contribution by of co-curators Guo Xiaoyan, Feng Lu and Tommaso Sacchi, it attracted more than 200 curators, architects and artists from all over the world. Meanwhile, the exhibition entitled “This Connection — Sharing a future of public space” features art, architecture, urban planning, design interpreting the future of the cities.
As the main curator and assistant curator, Boeri and Xu Yibo have been bringing the work of RADURA and Vertical Forest —Seeds on Mars to SUSAS 2017. In the meantime, a summit about future city and public space attracted lots of professionals.
Experts and scholars from the fields like architecture, design, ecology and science discuss the ecological construction and public space topics. The group of speakers including Boeri，Science and Technology counselor Roberto Pagani from Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai expressed their prospect and imagination about the future urban life, living space and human life style from their perspectives.
