On the evening of December 9, the Christmas Lighting Ceremony at STCC was again held in the club's sunken square as scheduled, where hundreds of guests spent a warm and joyful time together. Children had a great time taking pictures with Santa Claus, making some arts & crafts such as Christmas trees and hats, building gift boxes and snowmen. The adults could buy special gifts for family and friends at the indoor Christmas market while enjoying fine desserts and snacks. At 5.30 pm the Christmas Tree, bearing countless good wishes, was finally lit up, and everyone was amazed bythousands of lights. The Christmas celebration of 2017 officially started!
The entire Club was packed of smiling faces, laughters and a festive atmosphere. The Christmas Market at the Club started at 11 am, and many people – also residents living nearby STCC – came to visit and join our great event. Parents chose gifts for family members and friends and enjoyed fine wine served, while children were happily participating in entertaining games with us. Our event brought a warming family atmosphere, a truly "Home Away From Home".
The performance of the SCIS (Shanghai Changning International School) Lower School Honor Choir at the Lighting Ceremony was impressive. Children from 30 nationalities sang the Christmas carols under the direction of their bandmaster. The audience loved the show and praised the kids with great applauses.
At the end of the Lighting Ceremony, our special guest finally arrived! Santa Claus came to STCC bringing gifts for everyone and telling Christmas stories. Children took pictures with Santa and told him their Christmas wishes for the Christmas Eve.
Our Christmas tree is still shining at the Club, as bright as the wishes made at the event. We spent wonderful moments with all of you all, and we wish you a Very Merry Christmas!
