Millions of tourists and residents flocked to the famous scenic area in Shanghai in the first three days of the National Day holiday.
The Nanjing Road Pedestrian Mall, the Bund and Yuyuan Garden received 3.6 million, 2.52 million and 1.75 million people respectively.
In total, the city welcomed just under 4.25 million tourists over the three days — up almost 12 percent on the same period last year, the Shanghai Tourism Administration said.
The Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai Wildlife Park and Jin Mao Tower were among attractions reporting a hike in numbers.
Tourism authorities have advised against visiting Zhujiajiao Water Town over the holiday as numbers are exceeding capacity.
