2017-12-22
By Sophie Wang and Joan Zheng

Shanghai always makes an effort when it comes to Christmas. There are dozens of festive markets throughout the city, where majestic Christmas trees stand tall alongside eye-catching window displays. Sophie Wang and Joan Zheng highlight the best to ensure you make the best of your Christmas.

You don’t need a crystal ball to light up your festive season, but it helps.

This year, Xintiandi prepares not only a Christmas tree, but also a huge interactive space. The Christmas tree is in a five-story high crystal ball. If you touch the ball it will light up,and the more people who touch it at the same time, the brighter it becomes.
