Himmelbusch Beer, an authentic Germany restaurant and bar, opened its second brand at the Hub. Collaborated with schiossbrauerei Reuth, it opend first branch in Nanjing. The restaurant aims to create a relaxing atmosphere for friends gathering and family reunion.
The restaurant offers authentic German food including crispy pork knuckle, Bavarian sausages, handmade pizzas and pastas, freshly baked breads, locally grown vegetables and carefully selected traditional products.
The owner wants to express the restaurant’s passion for food, its inspiration for culinary culture and its high expectation for premium quality.
You will not miss the schweinshaxe (crispy pork knucle) with homemade sauerkraut and mash potato. Himmelbusch uses the Bavarian traditionnal way to cook. The chef use the fruit charcoal to smock the pig elbow and bake with open fire to keep the crispy skin and juicy texture. Meanwhile, the wurstplatte (four kinds of Bavarian sausages) is also recommended. There are four kinds of sausage for you to choose including Nuremberg sausage, Frankfurt sausage, Turing root sausauage and Munich sausage.
The salad keeps the idea of farm to table. Himmelbusch uses non-polluted organic vegetables from 50 arces of high quality land from surburban 30km organic farm. Try the Himmelbusch signature salad featuring salami, ham, cheese, otopus, smoked salmon and beef carpaccio.
If you are a seafood lover, try the lobster soup with fresh mussels, clams and squids cooked in a rich tomato soup. Paired with pretzels, you can absorb more into the Chritmas atmosphere. The German bread’s color is dark brown and looks like the stirrup. With tight and chewy texture, its fresh taste is a unique feeling.
Besides the food, the bar offers great beer and cocktails. The Himmelbusch Dunkel and Hummelbusch Lager are worth trying. They are both embracing traditional brewing techniques and working with the perfect natural ingredients.
