Xujiahui Park covers an area of 86,600 m2 and is bordered by Hengshan Road, Tianping Road, Zhaojiabang Road and Wanping Road.
The park was built in 2000 on the original site of Shanghai Great China Rubber Factory, Shanghai EMI Record Co and residential areas nearby. It preserves the chimney of the factory and the office building of the record company.
The park retains the rubber factory’s chimney and Pathé’s office building. The park layout is a miniature of Shanghai and a man-made lake runs through it like the Huangpu River.
It also has a 200 meter long sky bridge traversing the area. Visitors can also enjoy a pleasant dinner and a happy evening in the restaurant and bar in the former EMI office building, a historic red house where the national anthem of China was created and first recorded.
