As the connoisseurs say, the pairing of food with wine makes or breaks a meal. Opened in April last year, this Greek wine and mezze bar with a seating capacity of more than 100 carries a variety of wines from the old and new worlds. Stocking more than 20 different brands, its most popular white wine is Fleu Der Cap Chardonnay (45 yuan/glass), a deep green-gold South African blend. Another equally well-liked red is the Norton Malbec (45 yuan/glass), a deep red Argentinean blend. To enjoy Greek food at its best, pair the wines with their mezze (Greek for sides that are enjoyed with wine) dishes, such as the frequently ordered Fried Potato with Greek Oregano (28 yuan) or Pita Burger (68 yuan). And, if you drop by on Thursdays after 5pm, you can enjoy selected wines at 25 yuan per glass. Diners should expect to spend an average of 150 yuan when drinking with a meal.
