The newly opened Le Petit Saleya, the sister branch of the popular Le Saleya on Changle Road, is an excellent addition to the city's French bistro scene. It keeps the same relaxing, provincial atmosphere and traditional menu items but at cheaper prices. The bistro is quick to fill up at both lunch and dinner time with a faithful French crowd. All starters are only 48 yuan, while mains are 62 yuan. The lunch set further decreases the price, with two dishes for 78 yuan and three for 88 yuan. The menu has a simple selection of food but all is worth trying. Delicious, warm and gooey baked goat's cheese is perfect with green salad and the rich and creamy bacon quiche is also a great starter option. Mains include duck leg confit with sauted potatoes, roasted spring chicken with French fries and sea bass in white sauce. House wine by the glass starts from 46 to 52 yuan while bottles are priced at 188 to 498 yuan.
