Lost Heaven's Yan'an Road E. branch is a massive four-story restaurant composed of a wine lounge, a 300-seat dining room, a rooftop bar and a private function room. So far, along with its original Gaoyou Road location, Lost Heaven is considered one of the most romantic and exotic destinations in Shanghai for proper dining and drinking. The menu is inspired by a mix of influences from Yunnan Province, Myanmar and Laos. They call it "Yunnan folk cuisine," with the majority of the dishes from minority groups such as Yi, Dai, Naxi and Bai. Popular dishes include Yunnan wild vegetable cakes (40 yuan), Mandalay fish cakes (60 yuan), Burmese tea leaves salad (60 yuan) and Dai tribe pork in lettuce wrapping (60 yuan). Must-try new dishes include steamed cod with Yunnan black truffle (360 yuan) and Lao border-flavor shrimp salad (80 yuan).
