Well-known as one of the top restaurants in Shanghai, Hai Pai means modern Shanghainese spirit, aiming to bring gourmet diners a brand new dining experience that reflects the neighborhood culture and style. Created by Executive Chef Jacqueline Qiu and Chef de Cuisine Johnny Xiang, the menu features delicious home style cooking by using fresh local products and carefully sourced specialty ingredients from around China.
Signature dishes include osmanthus-flavored chicken, spicy and crispy duck, and braised prawns laced with Shaoxing wine. The old-Shanghai style dim sum selections are also highly recommended such as Shanghainese pork dumplings, crispy sweetened doughnut and glutinous rice cake.
Hai Pai is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast offers an international and local selection of gourmet buffet delicacies with hot dishes prepared to order. A selection of Shanghainese dim sum and congee prepared with an original recipe are also featured.
