The restaurant, at first glance, is more like a vintage movie set. The European-style half-wood building used to be a warehouse.
Old-fashioned square tables, bamboo beds, Ming-era long chairs, cabinets and even a wooden sign board for a Qing (1644-1911) wine store fill the whole place, nostalgic 1930s songs drift in the air.
Highlights include the pungent steamed black tofu, Asia's blue cheese, doused with a secret-recipe sauce, bacon slices and spring onions.
