"Qushui" means zigzagging channels, and it is no wonder that the garden’s distinguishing feature is a network of meandering streams. Several architectures reflect the Chinese philosophy of Daoism, an example being the Lotus Lake surrounded by three pavilions, designed to reflect a prosperous scene in Heaven, on earth, and in the human world.
