Add:28, Pingjiang Rd
At the first glance, the popular Ming Town hostel looks a bit like a university dormitory. Like many other venues on historic Pingjiang Road, Ming Town has been rebuilt from an old-style house with a wood-structured roof.
Modern laser lighting pours down from the roof through wooden slats. Old pictures of the area on the wall, lit by lantern-shaped lamps, add a sense of nostalgia, reminding guests that this place has been here for hundreds of years.
To say the least, Ming Town is popular among backpackers, Chinese and foreign. It’s close to the city’s most famous tourist attractions but offers accommodation at a reasonable price.
