World-class conductor Myung-Whun Chung to give recital

Renowned South Korean conductor and pianist Myung-Whun Chung will give a piano recital at Shanghai Symphony Hall on May 7. The programs include Debussy’s “Clair de Lune,” Schumann’s “Arabeske for piano in C major, Op. 18,” Schubert’s “Impromptu in G-flat major, D899/3,” and Tchaikovsky’s “October: Autumn Song from The Seasons,Op. 37b.” Chung, born in Seoul, is recognized as one of the three leading conductors in Asia together with Ozawa Seiji from Japan and Zubin Mehta from India. He has conducted almost all the world’s leading orchestras like the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonics, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Metropolitan Opera, and the New York Philharmonic.
