Event Highlights

The six-day competition will have two days of preliminary matches, two days of amateur group final and two days of mixed group final. It will be the longest-running skateboarding competition in China, using a new ranking system for the first time. Competitors will vie for top spots based on total scores in the races.

Unlike previous skateboarding circuits that were built on level ground, PRO JAM will feature a scenic race course on the 9th floor of Shanghai Joy City Mall underneath China’s biggest ferris wheel “Sky Ring.” They form a beautiful urban landscape.

Spectators can also try skateboarding or join an outdoor photography workshop. They have a chance to win prizes. A DJ studio will demonstrate their remixing and mash-up skills at the site.

Vans, an American manufacturer of shoes, has been promoting the skateboarding sport in China for years. In addition to offering generous prizes, it will also send a strong team of professional skateboarders to the game. Vans athletes will try to impress the audience with their superb performance.
