Shanghai Opera House Orchestra will give a live orchestral music performance against the backdrop of breathtaking high-definition footage from the landmark BBC series “Frozen Planet.”



“Frozen Planet” is a documentary which focuses on animal life in the world’s polar regions, as well as the their gradual destruction due to global warming. 


During the concert, the audience can watch the documentary on a 150 square-meter LED screen.


“Frozen Planet” was originally accompanied by a musical score from George Fenton, one of the film world’s most celebrated composers. Fenton has composed music for films such as “You’ve Got Mail,” “84 Charing Cross Road” and “Interview with the Vampire.” He is an Academy Award nominee, as well as a winner of the Ivor Novello Awards, the Film & TV Music Awards and the Emmy Awards.
